When you use MelanMark, you may provide us with:
Account information: name, email address, password.
Purchase information: shipping address, billing details (processed and stored by Stripe — not retained by MelanMark).
Vendor application information: business name, ownership documentation, product descriptions, banking details for payouts (processed by Stripe).
Communications: messages sent through the Platform, support inquiries, and form submissions.
Marketing preferences: newsletter subscription status and communication preferences.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit or use the Platform, we may collect:
Usage data: pages viewed, time on site, referring URL, click patterns.
Device and browser information: IP address, browser type, operating system.
Transaction data: order history, purchase amounts, and vendor interactions.
1.3 Information from Third Parties
We may receive information about you from third-party services integrated with the Platform, including Stripe (payment processing) and email service providers, consistent with their respective privacy policies.

MelanMark uses the information we collect to:
Process and fulfill orders and communicate about them;

Verify vendor eligibility and manage vendor accounts;

- How We Share Your Information
3.1 With Vendors
When you place an order, MelanMark shares your name and shipping address with the Vendor fulfilling the order. Vendors do not receive your email address, phone number, payment information, or any information beyond what is required for fulfillment. Vendors are prohibited from using Buyer information for any purpose other than fulfilling your order.
3.2 With Service Providers
We share information with trusted third-party service providers who assist in operating the Platform, including payment processing (Stripe), email delivery (Amazon SES), and hosting (Amazon Web Services). These providers are bound by confidentiality obligations and may only use your data as directed by MelanMark.
3.3 For Legal Reasons
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MelanMark, our users, or the public.
3.4 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of MelanMark's assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.
3.5 No Sale of Personal Information
MelanMark does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.
- Cookies and Tracking
MelanMark uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the Platform, remember your preferences, and analyze usage. Essential cookies are required for the Platform to function. - Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. MelanMark implements reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These include SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit, access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7.1 Access and Correction

7.2 Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and personal information by visiting our Contact page at melanmark.com/contact-us/. We will process your request within 30 days, subject to any legal obligations that require us to retain certain information (such as transaction records).
7.3 Marketing Communications
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by updating your preferences in your account settings. Transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates, account alerts) cannot be opted out of while you have an active account.
7.4 California Residents (CCPA)
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. 7.5 Do Not Track
MelanMark does not currently respond to 'Do Not Track' signals from browsers. You may control tracking through your browser settings and any applicable cookie management tools on the Platform.
- Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed to or intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly. - Third-Party Links
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services, including individual Vendor websites. MelanMark is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy on this page with a new effective date and notify registered users by email for material changes. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
