GETTING STARTED
MelanMark is exclusively for Black-owned businesses based in the U.S. We welcome businesses selling physical and digital products in fashion, beauty, home goods, books, specialty foods, music, handcrafted items, and more.
We do not allow:
❌ Dropshipping businesses
❌ MLM (multi-level marketing) or affiliate products
❌ Health supplements, herbal remedies, or ingestible wellness products
❌ Reselling of third-party brands
Yes. All vendors go through a quick screening process to ensure we align on quality, values, and readiness. You’ll receive next steps once your application is reviewed.
Most vendor applications are reviewed within 3–5 business days. You’ll receive an email once your application has been approved or if we need additional information. We appreciate your patience as we make sure every shop aligns with our values and standards.

Payouts on MelanMark are processed up to 14 days after a customer’s payment is received. To receive your funds, you’ll need to connect a Stripe account during setup. Stripe is our secure payment processor and allows you to receive payouts directly to your bank.
For new vendors, the initial 14-day delay helps us protect against fraud, reduce chargeback risks, and ensure the integrity of the marketplace. It’s a standard industry practice, especially for newer platforms, and allows us to keep things fair and secure for all buyers and sellers.
As your shop grows and your account builds a history of successful orders, you may become eligible for faster payouts depending on Stripe’s review and risk assessment process.
This structure not only keeps things running smoothly — it also supports the long-term health of the platform, so every vendor can grow with confidence.
To keep the marketplace fair and focused, vendors are not allowed to direct customers to purchase off-platform or include external website links. This helps ensure all traffic, visibility, and sales stay within MelanMark — giving every vendor a greater chance to be discovered. By keeping everything in one place, we amplify exposure for all shops, create a stronger collective presence, and foster a community where everyone has the opportunity to grow and thrive together.
